Gender inequality and Sexism is a form of discrimination based on gender, where women, girls, and gender-diverse people are treated as less valuable or less deserving than men. We can see this in many areas of life. In workplaces, where women are often paid less or not promoted as often or men are given priority in them, in schools where girls may face stricter dress codes, in media, which often sexualizes them and veiws them through male gaze. However we strive to educate and help the youth in Canada on this topic for a  gender equal Canada.

Gender inequality and sexism remain deeply rooted issues that continue to affect youth in Canada today, both directly and indirectly. From issues like the gender pay gap to harmful beauty standards, from casual sexism in classrooms to the underrepresentation in leadership, these injustices shape how youth and the world see themselves and others.

Canada is seen as a progressive space where women are treated as equal, but even today there are many challenges such as the pink tax, sexist dress codes, causal sexism, and violences committed directly against women every day. These systemic ongoing issues won’t go away easily, but as we fight for change we can fight and spread awareness about this issue to positively impact youth in canada.

It’s important for youth to understand how sexism operates because as the future of society, they need to recognize inequality when they see it and take steps to challenge it. By learning about gender justice now, young people gain the tools to advocate for a more equal and inclusive future for everyone
